So it only made sense for AESL, who are experts in their industry, to seek out experts in the web design industry – ahem, us – for the redesign and development of their website, right? Thought so.

As with all website redesign projects it’s important to find out from the client what the existing challenges and frustrations are with the current website design, and what they want to achieve from the redesign. Common frustrations include the website’s appearance as well as their being no easy way of updating website content.

The remedy for this is to improve the website’s look and feel, and implement a system for managing the website content more easily and effectively. However, these are just common frustrations. It’s the challenges and goals of the website that aren’t so, well, “common”.

AESL Website – The Project

Each client has their own unique set of challenges and goals. This can be anything from wanting to sell more products online, drive more targeted traffic through online marketing or, as is the case for AESL, increase their online visibility – especially their Services – through SEO.

Yes, AESL are Saskatchewan’s leading full service systems integrator. Yes, they have been doing this for almost 20 years. But this doesn’t mean they’re immune to the change in trends toward how people look for, and research businesses online before conducting any kind of business transaction with them.

Knowing this and realizing the potential of what an updated website could do for them with an aggressive SEO strategy in place (which included the evaluation of their website content ensuring it is key-word rich along with descriptive meta-titles and page descriptions), we designed and developed a new website that:

• Draws attention to their Services – which is easily located in the main navigation as well as highlighted on the homepage
• Showcases their projects through the use of a dedicated Projects page – including images and write-ups of AESL’s past and present projects
• Allows for the easy updating of content by using a custom built content management system
