[Ep 26] Facebook has been changing its approach to meet user expectations and if you too want to raise your game, then pay attention to these interesting bytes. Time to make your mark in the digital world around you in just 2 minutes. Every Tuesday at 2:22.

Use Facebook Live from Desktop Now

Mar. 22, 2017 –  Facebook has now introduced the ability to go live on your computers now so you can share from your desktop or laptop as well. With a stable and better camera set up, along with options to engage directly with viewers, it is going to change the vlogging game.

How to do it?

Click “Live Video” from the top of your News Feed or Timeline, then follow the prompts to add a description and choose your audience. And just go Live!

You can use this to share important company announcements (new colleagues, perhaps?), update your fans on recent successes, or stream how to guides (incorporating on-screen graphics). You could even use Facebook Events to promote upcoming live events and to engage with interested parties!

You could even use Facebook Events to promote upcoming live events and to engage with interested parties. And, like all things marketing, it pays to do it consistently so your audience grows to expect it.

Split Test Your Facebook Ads

Mar. 23, 2017 – Now you can test your Facebook ads across devices and browsers, making it much easier to maximize your return on investment by deciding what content and image combinations work better together.

In fact, it will now help you make most out of your budget by surfacing the version of your ad that is performing best at reaching the right people at the right time.

Now isn’t that super news!

(However, we (still) don’t recommend going all willy-nilly with your budgets.)

Attract Shoppers with Facebook’s Video Ads

Mar. 23, 2017 – This year all eyes are going to be on Mobile, and Facebook sure knows how to make that work for the brands.

With the intention of giving users an interactive experience (even with ads) Facebook has introduced an option of adding videos.

It not only gives an option for brands to showcase much more content but also ensures that users enjoy the content.

Messenger Gets Live Location Feature

Mar. 27, 2017 – Facebook has made it easy to communicate our friends and family where we are. With a tap on the Location icon, we can share our exact location instantly.

How’s it different from WhatsApp location feature?

  • The person you share your location with can see where you are on a map for the next 60 minutes. (Don’t worry you can stop sharing Live Location at any time)
  • A small clock in the lower right-hand corner of the map will also let you know how much longer you’re sharing your location for.
  • In fact, the ETA can also be seen by the person with whom the location is shared

Perhaps this is leading the way for the expansion of this feature so that brands can target users by location, providing them with offers and incentives if they are just passing by or in the area!

Or else this could also help you coordinate business meetings in new cities or pop-up events (if your brand into that type).

Until next Tuesday…

Hopefully, these news bytes will take your digital marketing to the next level! If you love these updates, please share it on Facebook!
