Digital Marketing Insights

Have you ever been preoccupied with a question, without getting any answer for it? I’m sure if you entered it into one of the many search engines you would get the answer you so seldom seek. However, sometimes the search engines just can’t give you what you want. Even Google has a hard time coming up with an answer if your question is that obscure or unique. Right now there’s a soccer highlights show I watch from the UK. There’s a piece of music that plays in the background during one of the segments. I like the song, but do I know who composed it? Nope. Have I tried “Googling it?” Yes, but I just can’t find the answer! Luckily for me, when searching for my answer online, I came across Answer Garden. Wow! This tool is amazing! And it’s absolutely free!

I’ll be honest. At first I thought this would just be a simple question and answer tool. However, after spending some time using Answer Garden I found that it has lot more to offer. It’s functionality benefits all of you who are keen on using a powerful means of getting reliable feedback from a certain group. A manager could use it to track the knowledge progress of a team of employees working on a certain project. A teacher could possibly use it to measure the knowledge level of students in a certain class. It could even be used at a workshop as a fun element while trying to make people, who are new to each other, comfortable. And by me to find out the name of the artist of that song.

If you own a website or a Blog, then Answer Garden’s unique design allows for feedback from your visitors. You can even embed this tool on to your social networking accounts so that people can go to your query whenever they like. It’s just that good and easy to use. Think of a topic, go to Create an Answer Garden page, post your topic and click on the create button. Keep your topic short though as you only have 64characters. You may also want to provide a password (recommended) for your page and edit it at a later time. You can also decide if you want unlimited answers turned on or off.

Once your topic is created you must share it via Facebook, Twitter, and other various social media platforms currently offered on Answer Garden (it even creates a QR code for you too!) By sharing, people will know you are seeking an answer to a question or feedback to something you’ve done. Embedding your topic on your blog or social networking accounts is an effective way of doing this. You will find the embed code on your Answer Garden page. You might even want to email it to friends for quicker feedback. Once your topic or query reaches people, they should be able to post their answer or feedback by clicking on the submitting existing answers button. These answers (limited to 20characters) will then get reflected on your Answer Garden as a growing word cloud.

The best part about Answer Garden, besides it being free, is that you don’t even need to log in to use it. You can even customize the look of your Answer Garden! Once you have enough answers in your garden, you might even want to export the data to Wordle or Tagxedo where you make your own customized and graphically striking word clouds. I wonder if anyone has an answer to my question?
