Are your posts not getting too much engagement?

Well not to worry, try some of these handy tips to truly captivate your audience.

1. Post content along with images

Whenever you share some content on your brand’s social media pages, try to accompany that post with a relevant image as well. Static posts do not encourage a lot of engagement as compared to those which have attractive pictures attached along with them.

A statistic released by Hubspot stated that when a piece of information was paired with a relevant image, 65% of that information was retained by people. Without the image, people were able to retain only 10% of the information (source: Brainrules).

This clearly shows the improvement in the effectiveness of your posts by simply adding an image to each of them.

2. Use Emoticons

Adding emoticons to your posts or conversations on social media makes them more expressive and your audience might even understand the message you are trying to convey more effectively. Many social media networks like Facebook, for example, have tons of attractive emojis and stickers to help you express yourself and make your posts more fun to read.

3. Don’t forget videos

Publishing social media posts along with short but interesting video content is a potent combo that could prove to be advantageous to your social media strategy. Videos can always help you promote your products better on social media. By just adding a demo video of the product being used, you can significantly boost the engagement level of a post.

A recent survey showed that 76.5% of marketers and small business owners said that video marketing had a direct impact on their business (source: Hubspot).

4. Include content of your audience’s interest

Basic logic dictates that if you want more engagement for your posts, then you need to post content that would be of interest to your target audiences. If you are just focusing on a particular segment of audiences to promote your products, then be proactive in creating content that they can relate to.

Once you know who would be the best buyers for the products or services offered by your business, you will be able to create content that is customized to their interests thus improving the shares and reach of your social media posts.

5. Start making your own infographics

Infographics help you to easily explain visual data and statistics to your audience to help them understand your business better. If you have content that needs to show in a graphical illustration, then including an infographic along with your post would be a wise decision.

Infographics are in fact so attractive that they are actually liked and shared 3 times more than any other type of content on social media (source: Hubspot).

Start investing time and effort in improving your posts and you will surely maximize your brand’s reach and connect with your audiences.
