August 02, 2017 –Many factors contribute to bringing your story on top, but all those factors fall under the same umbrella of “Good User Experience”

And now yet another factor has been added in delivering a good user experience. According to Facebook, “in the coming months, there will be an update to News Feed to show people more stories that will load quickly on mobile and fewer stories that might take longer to load, so they can spend more time reading the stories they find relevant”

However, the update will be introduced gradually, which gives you ample time to fix your website. In fact, Facebook recommends reading “best practices for improving mobile site load time” to ensure you aren’t impacted by this change.

August 02, 2017 – Google Earth has become way fancier, however, this new upgrade is only available for iOS users for now.

What can it do you ask?

  1. Make your travel itinerary by exploring the near by places
  2. Let Voyager, the new interactive stories feature in Google Earth, inspire your next travel destination.
  3. Once you have picked a place, brush up on history and trivia with Knowledge Cards.
  4. And if you aren’t much of a planner than use “Roll the Dice” with “I’m Feeling Lucky” and see where the world takes you.
  5. You can even share a Postcard of the beautiful places you find on Earth.

Go on, plan your next travel! P.S. you can download it right here

Some of the key topics it touches are

The basics of creating a Company Page

  • A rundown of analytical tools and metrics
  • Tips on maximizing reach with LinkedIn Sponsored Content
  • Guidance for crafting objective-based strategies
  • Best practices for updates that break through the clutter
  • How to target the right audience and boost engagement

You can easily download the Playbook right here.

Hope you make the most of it!

Facebook updates Ads reporting

August 08, 2017 – Just today Facebook announced its updates in the metrics: removal of unintentional clicks on ads in the Audience Network and new ad impression reporting.

Not sure what they mean?

Removing unintentional clicks from Audience Network

Have you ever clicked an ad while trying to visit a different web page? I for one do that a lot, and it is quite annoying, to be honest.

And Facebook has come to our rescue, by informing the marketers if the ad click was intentional or unintentional. Which is primarily determined by how quickly they close the ad, Facebook calls it “drop off rates”. If a user spends less than 2 seconds on your ad, than it is most likely an unintentional click.

New ad impression reporting

It is quite cumbersome to decipher Facebook Ad analytics, so to make it easier for marketers to extract valuable data you will now see two more metrics in the reporting

Gross impressions – which are all impressions, billable and non-billable.

Auto-refresh impressions- which will show you how many impressions on your right-hand side ad are a result of a browser refresh.

This is not all, there soon will be few more updates to make marketer’s life easier.

Until Next Tuesday…
