Dear B2B companies,
Stop what you’re doing. Put down that pen and paper, and that telephone. I want you to sit up straight and listen to me. LinkedIn is God. Fact. There. I said it. No matter what you say, it’s true. There’s no getting away from that fact. What’s that? LinkedIn isn’t God? I will challenge you on that my friend. In fact I’ll be very honest. I don’t care if you think I’m completely wrong. I don’t care if you have zero interest in what I’m about to tell you. What I do care about is helping your B2B business generate more leads. I have the facts. And, facts are facts. There’s no disputing that.
We have always championed the use of LinkedIn and shown you how effective it can be for your business, but the information I received today is astounding. In a new HubSpot study, released today by Rebecca Corliss (via David Meerman Scott), 3,128 Hubspot B2B customers, who use LinkedIn, generated the highest website visitor-to-lead conversion rate at 2.60%. This is four times higher than Twitter (.67%), and seven times better than Facebook (.39%). Isn’t that incredible? These facts alone just show you how important LinkedIn is as a lead source. Quite frankly, it’s shook me up.
I, as I’m sure most of you will do now, am going to spend the rest my day combing through our LinkedIn site making sure it’s being used to its full potential. With data like that, why wouldn’t you?
