Digital Marketing Insights

Our latest responsive web design project has been for Linn Millwork, a Saskatoon-based company. Linn Millwork specializes in “manufacturing and installing commercial, industrial and select residential millwork” and they pride themselves on being a “custom rather than production millwork shop.” In order to customize any project while ensuring quality and precision they have invested in a high-tech cutting machine, the 5-axis CNC, which happens to be the first in Saskatchewan.

Web Design Project

Linn Millwork felt their current homemade website just wasn’t making the first impression they wanted and it didn’t allow for them to showcase all of the beautiful custom woodwork their shop produces. They wanted a website that truly represented their company and showed off their high-quality custom work and we were happy to help out! Here are a few central features of the new Linn Millwork website.

Project Gallery

If there is one thing perspective customers want to know it’s what type of work you’ve done in the past. So, why not show them? A graphic gallery was created for the website that allows Linn Millwork to showcase their most recent and past projects by uploading multiple images and descriptions on what was involved. They are able to easily add and update projects using their custom content management system (CMS) and they also have the flexibility to highlight any of their projects on the homepage.

Job Board

Think about how much it costs to place a “job ad” for a position within your company? Of course it’s necessary to advertise career positions, but one cost effective avenue that is often overlooked is placing these job ads directly on your website. A “Careers” section was developed for Linn Millwork that allows them to freely upload available positions and enable potential future employees the ability to upload their resume through the website.

Responsive Design

Responsive design is essential for websites nowadays if you want your visitors to have a great user experience and stick around your site. If you are unfamiliar with the term, it is a way of making a single website work effectively on both desktop browsers and a variety of mobile devices. We designed the Linn Millwork website responsive so their visitors would be given the best quality browsing experience regardless of screen size. It also minimizes the long term effort needed for adapting to new devices and resolutions.
