If you’re active on Twitter and provide support to your clients, you may as well set up a welcome message that’ll automatically respond to direct messages for you. You could also work with your web developer to customize their API to provide even more messaging solutions.
Instagram Ups Their E-Commerce Game
Nov. 1, 2016 – Instagram experiments with in app shoppable tags for a limited number of partners and only in the U.S. Providing a streamlined experience, these tags will allow users to make purchases directly in the app. ⭐️ Gold star for convenience!
This (echoing Pinterest’s Buyable Pins) is a powerful tool for any discovery period of a customer journey. Heck!, my guess is that they didn’t even know they wanted to buy [insert item] until presented with the easy option to do so!
It’s Official. Mobile Rules!
Nov. 1, 2016 – StatCounter Global Stats announced that in October mobile and tablet internet use exceeded desktop use, worldwide, for the first time ever.
Thankfully I am not the only one preaching for mobile friendly websites. Just do me this one favour and check out your website on a mobile device and see how it looks. If it makes you want to turn away in disgust, well…maybe it is time to upgrade!
Vine Bites the Dust
Oct. 27, 2016 – Vine announces they will be shutting down their 6-second looped video streaming service Vine. If you don’t use Vine or haven’t heard of it, you’re probably asking yourself, why does this matter to me? Well there are two reasons:
I see it as a little precautionary tale about building your castle on borrowed land; you should try drive your traffic back to an online property of your own.
It’s wild out there. In this battle of survival of the fittest, we can deduce who the weakling was. But on the other hand, those that are quick to adapt to and evolve with change should do well.
