Instagram Releases New Tools to Turn Down the Noise
Dec. 6, 2016 – Instagram launches ability to turn off comments on any post as well as ability to “like” comments to show support and encourage engagement.
I would say that generally, disallowing a dialogue or engagement with fans is not a good thing, but occasions may present themselves where you may find this feature useful.
Google Makes reCAPTCHA Easier
Dec. 3, 2016 – Google announces new “No CAPTCHA reCAPTCHA” which makes it easier to confirm that you are not a robot, and as a result will get you to the website, the information that you are looking to A LOT faster.
What perfect timing! This new reCAPTCHA is mobile-friendly, of course, making it super user-friendly as opposed to trying to solve the old style-squished up mysterious text. Talk to your web developer to get the new API installed today.
Twitter Suggests Using Moments to Celebrate Your Year

Pinterest’s Promoted Pins Available in Canada
Dec. 1, 2016 – Pinterest begins allowing local Canadian companies to promote pins or advertise on the network.
Whether you pay to play or not, there is a ton of potential on Pinterest, as a user to explore, but more importantly, as a brand to grow awareness as more users see your pins than just your direct followers.

Pinterest Introduces Rotating Showcase
Nov. 30, 2016 – Pinterest adds new feature to business pages that allows you to select up to five boards or Buyable Pins (U.S. only!) to be showcased or featured on your profile.
You could showcase a new set of boards weekly or monthly to shake things up or to go with the seasons. Or else you could use it to feature product launches or client success stories.
