Haven Builders is a Saskatoon-based home building and renovating company that specializes in personalized and custom homes, renovations, as well as infill homes. Haven Builders came to us to program and develop their new design onto their website. We were able to assist Haven Builders in renovating their online presence by giving life, or functionality, to their provided design.

Custom WordPress Development

For this project, we programmed the designs provided by the client, including designing various custom functionalities to help expand the easy-to-use WordPress content management system. Custom features we developed include:

• Galleries: divided by type of room (e.g. Kitchen),  location (e.g. Riversdale), type of home (e.g. two-storey), etc
• Increased number of featured images per page (three instead of one)
• Ability to manage each property individually; designed custom fields to manage property details (such as number of rooms, square feet, etc.)
• Dynamic content: Ability to select which testimonial is displayed with a specific page of content

Video Banner

Another custom feature we developed is the video banner. If a picture is worth 1000 words then imagine how much a video is worth! As a modern alternative to the classic sliding image banner and to make their website more dynamic, we implemented an informative, entertaining, and engaging video banner on Haven Builders’ pages. Haven Builders has the option in the back end to display either an image or a video.
