TCU Place

Overview

TCU Place is one of the best conference facilities in Western Canada. They exist to enhance the quality of life in the local community by providing excellent facilities and services for arts, business, cultural, and educational experiences. Specializing in conferences, banquets, and tradeshows, as well as theatrical performances, TCU is a great gathering place for the community.

We’ve helped TCU Place enhance various aspects of their online presence since 2011. Most recently we worked with them to completely update the colour and branding.

The Challenges

TCU Place needed an improved way to provide great experiences, and to showcase and raise awareness for and attendance of the events and experiences they offer. The main goal of the project was to create a mobile-friendly website that matched their branding.

The Solution

2WD created a mobile-friendly website with a custom content management system that is super easy for site administrators to use.

One of the key features of the website redesign was the construction of an intranet that allows management and staff to securely and secretively share files and documents, which you’d never really know about as a normal site visitor ;).

We also built-in landing page capability for raising awareness about specific campaigns, incorporated testimonials to boost authority through social proof, integrated social media channels to drive traffic and newsletter subscription box to stay in the know.

What We Did

To kick things off, 2WD analyzed TCU Place’s current website traffic. We needed to understand what people were doing when they got to the site, or what stopped them from doing what they came for. Then we helped them reorganize the site architecture to provide emphasis to certain components.

After we had all of the plans laid out, we began updating the design to match their new branding while ensuring that the site functions optimally on a variety of devices and browsers.
