Case Study – Schulte

Schulte

Overview

Schulte Industries, Ltd are a “world leader” in the manufacturing of rotary cutters, rock removal equipment, and snow removal equipment. Originally founded in 1912 by Caspar Schulte in the small Saskatchewan town of Englefeld, along with his son John, the Schulte family have for the best part of 100 years become their customer’s “first choice” by providing world-class products, service, and quality.

The Challenges

Schulte’s website was pretty basic. It did what it needed to do, occasionally. Users could sometimes find the products, parts, and service that they were looking for, if they were on a desktop computer or had all afternoon to spend on the hunt. What does that mean? Schulte’s website lacked user-friendliness and did not show up in mobile searches.

And this is where we stepped in.

The Solution

The cornerstone feature of this project is the dynamic and reusable dealer component we developed to enhance and engage visitors on the site. It is a worldwide map to help people find the Schulte dealer nearest them. Likewise, we created a dealer login page, where dealers can take advantage of dealer-only information that is accessible only by logging into the website.

Similarly, we developed a visual product catalogue, that allows Schulte to present their products in an attractive and engaging way on the website.

We added a blog to share engaging articles regarding their products and service, trade shows, events, and other information aimed at their audience. We also created a careers page to promote job opportunities and openings within the company. And, in case you thought we forgot…of course, we made the site accessible on mobile devices!

The Results

A custom content management system and mobile-friendly design make both site admins and site visitors happy.

Site admins can spend less time updating content because it’s so intuitive to use. Everything site visitors are looking for can be found within just a click or two!

By adding new engaging and interactive features on the website, visitors stick around longer and make more product inquiries.
