Digital Marketing Insights

In the modern webosphere when it comes to creating your corporate web design, standards are being set increasingly higher. And with access to mobile website apps and beautiful templates at the click of a button, there is no longer any excuse (in my opinion) for a business to have a website that is dated, unattractive, or unresponsive.

With this is mind, have you taken a moment recently to look over your own website and think about what it says about you and your company as a whole? Furthermore, has the content been updated recently? Does it follow current design trends? Is it easy to navigate? Does your website come up easily when you search for your business name or products online? Boy, I could go on.

You see these questions need to be asked on a regular basis to ensure that your corporate web design is saying things about your business that would do justice to the time, effort, heart, and finances that you have invested into making your business a success. All the great marketing efforts in the world can be negated in a single moment if someone visits your website and is turned off by what they find when they get there. Heaven forbid your competitor has a stronger web presence than you, because if they do, you can be sure that your customers will find them and – more than likely – they will forge a strong brand connection to them because their experience on their site will no doubt leave a lasting (great!) impression.

Having an up-to-date website speaks volumes about how you perceive your business as well as about how you view your customers. If you take pride in presenting your company online with a beautiful site that is always up to date and relevant to both your visitors and your industry, then your clientele will come to depend on you as a leader in the marketplace and will feel that they can trust you to bring that same level of care and excellence to the products and services you are selling.

Likewise, a website with grammatically poor content or outdated graphics and photos shows visitors that you do not value your online image much – or at all! Therefore, one can only imagine what that customer must think – if the user experience sucks, then what’s it like when actually doing business with you?

The lessons to be learned is great care must be taken when crafting web content that adds value to your customers and to the product and services you are offering. Do not waste their time by making them hunt around the website due to poor navigation or search for your contact information. Do yourself and your site visitors a favor by making their time on your corporate website simple, intuitive, and enjoyable. In doing so, you will be going a long way toward turning them into loyal customers for life!

What’s your opinion? Feel free to leave your thoughts, comments, and any other suggestions that company’s should take into consideration when approaching their corporate web design.
